Finance & Account/ Purchase Department

This department is mainly responsible for entire financial control and income/expenditure control of the company. It is also responsible for purchasing required materials, maintaining accounts of debtors & creditors, settlement of suppliers account, searching & contract with new suppliers, analysis of financial statement and reports to improve continually cost controlling factors. It also handles all finance, accounts, and purchase related documents which require financial matters.

Human Resource Department

This department carries out the following main functions:

  1. It involves the planning for the future and finding out how many employees will be needed in the future by the business and what types of skills should they possess.
  2. HR Department is also involved in designing the Job analysis and Job description for the prospective vacancies.
  3. HR Department is also involved in conducting market surveys and determining the wages and salaries for different position in an organization. These decisions may be taken in consultation with top management and the Finance department.
  4. One of the most important jobs HR departments is to recruit the best people for the organization. Once the employees are recruited, the HR Department has to review their performance on a regular basis through proper performance appraisals.
  5. HR department also reviews organizational policies and its impact on the motivation of the employees.
  6. HR department is the link between the workers and the management. Employee's grievances related work environment are usually entertained and resolved by the HR Department.


Production orders are accepted with minimum lead time of 3 to 4 months. Since Nepal does not produce standard raw material required for production of export merchandise, most of it with exception of packaging material, is imported for either from India of from other countries namely China, Korea, Hong Kong etc. Importation into Nepal from most origin points take about 5 to 6 weeks. Than allow 4 weeks time for production, to decide on the shipment schedule of the merchandise.

The Product and the Plant capacity

SNEHA APPARELS was initially conceptualized to manufacture only high value add and complex outer wear for the US and European markets. In order to circumvent the adverse effects of the fluctuation demand pattern of the markets, a part of the production faculty was dedicated to production of garments with cotton, rayon, polyester and other fabrics. As a result today, this unit is technically capable of producing almost all kinds of garments with woven fabric.

1. Ladies, Men's, and Kids Shirts or Blouses 400 pcs per day per line.
2. Ladies, Men's, and Kids Shorts 400 pcs per day per line.
3. Ladies, Men's, and Kids Trousers 350 pcs per day per line.
4. Heavy Quilted Jackets 100 pcs per day per line.
5. Non Quilted Spring Outerwear 150 pcs per day per line.
6. Tracksuit 350 set per day per line.

Quality Control

Quality control system is based on J.C. PENNY system. It requires random checking of 10 percent of the item by the Fabric Checker and the Store Keeper before they go to the Production Line or, Cutting Department.

Fabric Checking, Hard Pattern Checking, Spreading Check, Marking and Layout Checking Cutting Blocks Checking are the essential quality control system of the factory.

In lines 7-0-0 system is applied by Quality Control Inspector. The machine output undergoes 2.5 Observed Quality Level. Not a single piece is allowed to reach the Finishing Section unless audited by the Auditor.

Quality controllers and Supervisors regularly meet and assist each other to achieve the desired quality level. Quality efficiency of each Operator, each Line and each Supervisor are recorded in computer and their performances frequently monitored. The factory has IN House Washing Plant; well enough for Stone Washing, enzyme wash and Bleach Wash. Production capacity of the Washing Unit is perfectly matched with the Production Capacity of the Machines.

In the Finishing Section, Rotary Type of Quality Check or two-tier Checks, is Applied depending upon the style. In any case, No Piece is allowed to go inside the polybag unless audited by the Final Auditor.

Also, a Proper Care is taken to look after the Workers' welfare and their Safety at workplace.

Compliance with Nepal Government Rules

  • Job Seekers below eighteen years are not even allowed to enter the factory premises.
  • The Workers are appointed in accordance with the local Labor Law and their files well maintained.
  • Female Workers are not encouraged to work at night over time.
  • Even Male Workers are not allowed an over time of more than ten hours a week.
  • A normal working hour is seven and half hours a day and six days a week.

Safety Measures

Workers are well-facilitated with Clean Drinking Water, Well-equipped Cafeteria, Sufficient rest Rooms, toilets and Baby Sitting room. Emergency exits, In-house Doctor, First Aid Boxes and the Emergency Transportation or even the Ambulance are available Round the clock.
